Educational Mission

Friends of Infinity Acres Ranch is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit that uses animal-assisted programs to promote learning, healing, and connection for people of all ages and abilities.
At Infinity Acres Ranch, animals are intentional partners in a range of hands-on experiences. Through ENABLE Day Support, adults with developmental disabilities practice animal care, responsibility, communication, and nurturing skills in a safe, structured environment that builds confidence, empathy, and respect for nature.
Veteran-focused events and activities offer therapeutic encounters that can help ease symptoms related to trauma and stress. Time with the animals provides a calming, grounding experience that supports mental and emotional well-being.
Educational field trips for school and homeschool groups are aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL). Students engage in interactive lessons that encourage environmental stewardship, conservation, and lifelong respect for the natural world.
Outreach visits and exhibits for seniors in nursing homes and care settings use animal interaction to spark joy, awaken memories, and create meaningful emotional connections.
Animal Adventure Summer Camp immerses youth in age-appropriate animal husbandry, teamwork, and outdoor exploration. Guided by the Ranch’s 3 R’s—Respect, Responsibility, and Recreation—campers gain practical skills, positive peer experiences, and a deeper appreciation for living things and the environment.
Together, these programs reflect the mission of Friends of Infinity Acres Ranch: to connect people, animals, and nature in ways that inspire personal growth, emotional health, and lifelong learning.
